
Dr. Sara Mandell
Dr. Sara Mandell was born in Massachusetts and grew up just north of Boston in the town of Reading. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, before earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University. Upon graduation, Dr. Mandell commissioned as a Dental Officer in the United States Army.
Dr. Mandell served as a General Dentist for four years at Fort Gordon, GA, before completing a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Fort Bragg, NC, where she also earned a Master's degree in Oral Biology.
After her residency, Dr. Mandell was stationed at Fort Hood, TX. During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was activated to New York City to help establish a military hospital. Upon her return to Fort Hood, she took charge of a 30-chair dental clinic and later deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, for nine months in 2021.
Dr. Mandell has recently transitioned from active-duty military service to Reserve status and has chosen Central Texas as her home. In her free time, she enjoys working out, hiking, and exploring new restaurants around the area.
